Merrimac Community Compost Bin

 Green Merrimnac is excited to announce The Merrimac Community Compost bin, located in the Village Hall parking lot.

This bin is available for use by Village residents who are interested in composting but may not have an easy way to do it at home.

**Detailed instructions are located on the compost bin as well as on the Village website.

 

 Why Compost?

* It protects the climate by reducing methane emissions from landfills.

* It recycles organic materials into  valuable, nutrient rich soil.

* It extends municipal landfill life by diverting organic materials.
